I would choose Roehl, Maverick, Crete Carrier, FFE, Navajo, Boyd Bros., Bekins, Florida Rock & Tank Lines, with an online application.

Time to rethink the whole equation! Ignore those recruiters breathing down your neck. They are being paid to send you to those mega-carriers. Find a good smaller company and your success will substantially higher!

You live in my neck of the woods so the ones I would recommend would be Windy Hill, Armellini, Central Refrigerated, Crete. Crete is a really good company but only accepts students from a few certain schools.

You can make really good money at Windy Hill but be prepared to run hard!

Out of all these, by far, you will make the most at Armellini! Armellini pays by the mile and per stop and you will run team. You should make about $1100 - $1400 + a week! Best thing about Armellini is that their max time out is 3-5 days. They run floral out of Florida and have multiple stops to flower shops. Once you are empty you grab a back haul and come back to florida for the next load. You will run hard at Armellni but you won't come close to their pay anywhere else!

I speak from experience, rethink Werner. They will try and push the Bus Fleet account on you, not worth it. I had a prehire from Windy Hill, but didn't like the idea of signing a 1 year contract saying if you left before the end of your contract, you were liable for all costs incurred while you were in training such as fuel, etc.

Wish I would have gone with Roehl out of school.

H-D a lot of companies do that. Its their way of sorting out the real drivers from the ones who job hop and don't know what they are doing.

If you want to make good money Windy Hill is a good company. If you want to be babysat and treated like a newbie then yes, Roehl would be the company.
