Just had a frightening thought!

No....hubby won't take the animals. One cat needs sub-q fluids every other day for renal failure - he's doing great! Hubby doesn't even like to see me do it... Another one needs pilling twice a day for the rest of his life - and I was just in the hospital for surgery on Dec. 6th and nobody got their meds till I got home again. That wasn't a good thing. 5 cats and 1 dog - the Border Collie is 14 1/2 years old and she's having a hard time getting around - there's no way she'd manage in a truck. Hubby also won't clean litter boxes. Ya.... that wouldn't be good.

 

Well, Casey (the dog) probably won't be with us much longer... I actually didn't think she's make it till Christmas. But she is going downhill fast. We'd have to carry her in and out of the truck which is bad enough without carrying a 52 lb dog: probably wouldn't be the smartest thing to try. The cats would be all over us driving.... Have 2 lap cats and the others would want to lay on the dash. His company doesn't allow pets anyway..... seems like a lot of trouble. Also hauling around the IV setups and stuff.... nah..... I'll just get a local job.

 

No, that is not an option. I won't have to give them up at all for any reason. I just won't apply to any job that might require it. I've been in the workforce for 40 years and have never had to re-home a pet due to a job and I'm not going to now. No job is worth that to me - there's always something else out there.
