I'm about to go OTR for the first time. Been driving local for the last 17 years, but now it's time for a change. I'm sure my wife and I will get used to it, but it will definately be an adjustment. Any suggestions on obscure things I might forget to take will be greatly appreciated. Once again, hello to everyone.
Just joined and wanted to say hello

It will be nice for you and your wife to go together as far as things to take inverters if you want certain things that run off ac verse dc, like a really tiny frig, comp that sort of thing. There is also someone on here with those little cooking boxes. It is going to be winter take sleeping bags. Think of your truck as a small mobile home for a couple weeks might help. Good luck.
avalanchejim Thanks this. -
Hey, thanks for the reply, I wasn't sure if an inverter would run one of those little fridges or not. I had one in the local truck I've been driving primarily to charge a laptop and I also had a 12v cooler. Both of them just about overloaded it. It only had one 12v power port. I'm sure the first couple of weeks will suck, but I'll have a good idea of what to put in the truck the first time I get home!

Also you can get a lunchbox oven which runs off a ac 12 volt lighter adpter they range from 29.00 to 80.00, depending on how much room you want to use up. There are some that Coleman make that use propane, but best to use outside. Here is the website for both the ovens and coolers some convert for both.
