Welcome to you.

Welcome I currently work for Swift and I had some issues with my trainer but I am now on my own truck. The people here are very nice and I have met a lot of good drivers around the terminals.
The pay while I was training was $450 for the first four weeks and then $500 the last two weeks. Never an issue with getting the money. Your miles may be low after you get your first truck until they know you can do the job.
So far so good at Swift. By the way the training at the Swift school was excellent and all the instructors where top notch. I had to go through it again because I had been off the road for 15 years.
Good luck! -
Welcome to the party!

Finish your training, get that class A then go to swift. Sure Swift will train you for the CDL but you will then owe them 5-6G which they will take out of your checks. And if you don't stay with them you will still owe them and if you don't pay them,it will affect your credit rating for years to come.

gracias for all the warm welcomes!
bluebonn: thanx for your reply, swift is one of the companies that im interested in and like i said im new at this whole trucking thing but its what i wanna but why is that i hear alot of bad things about swift and other big companies? seems llike everybody disses them or like if those companys were the scum of the earth? kinda scares me lol -
whosedog: thanx for your reply, yea that what im thinking but since im in need a job im thinking of just going ahead and sticking to the i or 2 year contract they give and i know that pay isnt the best, obviously since im a newbie, but i will get much the needed experience that im after then just for something better and local from there . i just gotta suck it up no?
