Well I just passed my CDL and finished school with a 97 GPA. I guess now the real work begins. I have received pre-hire letters from Roehl, TMC, US Express, and Stevens. I have decided to go with Crete after looking at everything. I appreciate all of the information that I have received here and from my awesome buddies that I met at school. We really helped each other and went the extra yard to "get it right". At this point I have to go to my closest Crete terminal next Monday 9/22 and perform a road test and drug test. With any luck I'll be OTR by that Wednesday. I'll miss my family but it will feel nice to earn a paycheck again.
Just passed my CDL state test!

Good luck to you
...think about keeping us updated on how things go. Remember two things, no violations and no getting in a hurry. Violations will kill your new career and hurrying will lead to accidents.

Congratulations from another fresh Class A CDL holder. Keep us posted please.
Ist there a reason you went with Crete over the others? Pure curiosity here. -
Congratulations. I'm hoping to join the ranks of Class A CDL holders soon as well. There's an 80pg thread on Crete started by EverTruckerr that you might want to check out.... lots of good info about them. Let us know how you progress.

There are many reasons why I chose Crete, one of those reasons was Evertruckers posts. I believe he had a spreadsheet with his miles for the first half of this year. Man, it seemed like alot of miles. I hope I can run 10,000 miles a month without throwing up,lol. Crete also seemed to pay more than the rest. Home time is one day for 6 out.

Good Luck to you and keep us posted.

The begining will be tough adjusting..........hours, away from home and driving safely.
Advice, take your time, don't let dispatch push you to run illegal (always use the q/c to cover your communications) and lastly always watch your trailer in turns until you have completely straightened up.
Beore you know it a Million miles will blow pass...........
Again good luck be careful/safe and keep the rubber down.......
