    My first day is going to be March 27th. 3AM shift. Told me that I would be in the next truck driver training class which will likely be June/July. Biggest need right now here is for P&D drivers. I feel grateful to have my foot in the door.

    That shift should get you some decent hours.

    At our terminal they're currently needing/wanting P&D drivers also.

    I am grateful for working here. Talked to another Linehaul driver who is very happy working at OD.

    Yes, they will. But they do hire from within (p&d guys that want to go line, transfers) before they hire of the street. Many of our guys at my yard started line from day 1.

    I was hired off the street. Depends on your area. As of now, my terminal is only hiring from within (the dock). Then, after 1 year they are given a choice to go P&D or linehaul. Glad I got in when I did to be able to go straight to linehaul and gain seniority from day one.
