Hi, I just renewed my CDL Class A, but have no experience other in school. I drove a Class B for a year and half, but got laid-off about a year and a half ago. I'm leaning towards going to Swift to get my experience, but I'd rather not fork over almost $4,000.00 for their school considering my CDL school cost me about $6,000.00.. I need anywhere from 6 months to 2 years experience to get a nice local gig. Any advice?

I would try smaller companies they may give you a brake, also try to contact a few O/O's maybe they may give you a chance you never know.

Don't do OTR. You probably won't like it. Try finding local if you can.
