that's comes to 29 cpm bring home. Do you have to pay fuel out of that too? What about puting money back for repairs? Or is all of that already taken out? Either way, that's $20 more than I bring home as a company driver at 36cpm before taxes and I don't have to do near the paper work or other headaches. I ran 2102 mls the week after Thanksgiving, which is what I got paid for this past Friday.

I know it's not the greatest, but it was a weekend run (3 days) as a team, and my take home was even after paying my second seat. -
Let's see.. Is CRE really a good company to drive trucks for? I've heard the horror stories. I need an idea. What I don't like about OTR is DAC report. I understand it's not good to start with a company one week then leave the next for another. But Why in the world, would a company a big OTR outfit want to destroy your reputation and lie about it.
That's terrible, years ago they called it blacklisting. Isn't that a crime? I have a friend who worked for a major OTR. When he left for another job. His DAC report ad a bad report put in it. The killer is, if it were true then I understand but it wasn't.
If he wanted to get a job say, driving for public transportation in a big city. This could hold him back from getting the job. Right? That's cut Throat.
On the other hand, OTR companies can charge you thousands totrain with them and if you choose not to stay with in a certain amount of months. They can charge ridiculous amount to your credit and affect your credit rating.
And what about the government tracking down on this practice? I know they have their problems worldwide right now. But wasn't this country founded on the principle. For the people, by the people.
Capitalism sucks, that's unless your on top. Then I guess, one would love the system. But remember, look at what just happened with the housing market. Our kids' kids will be paying for this mess and they haven't even started working yet.
But that's another story for another time....
Back to the post. Anybody could give us an account or idea if work for CRE is worth it?
