I was working at a concrete plant about 5 years ago and we sold a couple of trucks.
These were older Mack trucks. Worn out, but could still had several years good work left in them if treated well.
We thought that the guys that were coming to pick them up would either be in tow trucks or have lowboys.
Nope. They showed up from Miami in an SUV. They were driving the trucks down to Miami from near Buffalo NY.
One of the trucks was not too bad. It was geared for local and off road hauling. So would only go about 52 mph. And it needed steer tires. The ones on it were showing steel.
The other one had all good tires. And was faster.......
Allot faster.
At some point they had changed out the Transmission from a 2 stick to a one stick 8 speed.
But they did not change the rear's out. So the darn thing would go about 100. You really do not want to go that fast in a mixer lol.
And the speed O was not working.
I never did hear how their trip went.
Just some of the stupid things I see

He never was licensed by my State. He lived in a neighboring State and was licensed by them. He had lived in another neighboring State before that. But he got a lot of tickets, never taking care of them. How the other State's never took his license for it, I do not know. It seems some slip through the cracks, some others get caught up. There's no ryhme or reason to it, I quit trying to figure it out years ago. -
Now, he has to start all over. -
Actually, those rights are "listed" in a document that holds more power than all the "courts" combined.
And they are not "changeable on a whim".
They were guaranteed to us through the actions and BLOOD of those who gave everything to ensure them.
The rights of the many NEVER outweigh the rights of the individual.
That is NOT how this Nation was designed to be, or how the Constitution outlines it.
The problem is not that no one is willing to die for their liberties.
The problem is that no one is willing to fight, and take the lives of the tyrants, to preserve them.
It is sad we are approaching the need to resort to such action, but I fear we will soon have no choice.
And I pray my brothers in blue will choose the right side to support when that time comes..... regardless of what they have been told their "job" is by some "politico".
I agree with the other poster.......
"Doing my job" is no excuse for violating the supreme law of this land.

Have you ever seen someone come into your scale with no log book, but yet he has his starting mileages listed on his phone? Then because of some loop hole that was not applied correctly get away with no violations OOS or other? My co-worker some how just pulled this one off. We were in another state and they applied the 100 air mile rule which I thought only applied to in state driving. Please shine some light on this so I can understand how he happened to get away with no tickets.

The 100 Air mile exemption applies to both Inter-state and Intra-state operation.
I don't know what "loophole" you are talking about.
If a driver comes in here without a log book when he is required to have one, he is liable to be put out of service for 10 hours and receive a citation.
To meet the 100 Air mile exemption the driver:
- operates within a 100 air-mile radius of the normal work reporting location and
- returns to the work reporting location and is released from work within 12 consecutive hours.
I think your co-worker got lucky.dieselbear Thanks this. -
I think your right. Thanks for the answers.

Or is lying! I hear a lot of BS from driver's on the CB how they did this or that. And I know that's BS because I just wrote them and shut them down.
Injun, Scalemaster and ironpony Thank this. -
I was following him in the second truck as I had for the previous 15 days. He doesn't, or should I say didn't ever fill out a log book. He would show up at work and just jump in the truck and say let's go. No pre trip or anything. I kind of wish he had been put out of service.
