Suburbans, blazers, suv's about 4-5k, trailer with boat can't weigh more than 5k unless they pulling a nice size boat. You'd have to whip out the portables or have them fallow you to a scale to double check they not over 10,001.

F250 even as long as the load is light enough.

GVWR = Gross Vehicle Weight Rating

Doesn't matter what you weigh now it is what you could weigh. So they can be pulled in and should have DOT MC numbers as most do.

I'm over 10k with this set up.

Does that mean I should be running a log book, DOT numbers, medical card etc?

Screw that noise. There are reasons why I quit trucking.

I drive by a chicken house twice a day. If they want me they'll have to come talk to me.

Depend' on your local state laws I would guess. But if you were traveling interstate with that rig for a commercial enterprise then yes you would be subject to the FMCSR's.

My guess is your just running around local cutting grass or something(pics hard to see on my phone) but if you decided to accept a contract in Greely and drive there twice a week to mow you would need everything for your class of vehicle.

No different than your rig and some of the hot shots out here.

I hate the goobers from CO that come up here and mess with our grounds maint market.
I do not have any plans or intentions to try and go south and mess in theirs.

The only other work I do that does travel across state lines is the handicap ramps for the VA. I' work in an assigned territory and occasionally have a big enough system I pull my other 16' trailer to haul ramp product for install. I try to haul it in the back of my p/u as much as possible because I get better mpg.

In fact I dislike the goobers so much from CO that come up here and mess with our market that I'm helping one company decide they don't have enough work up here in 2012.
Already got 2 of their large contracts. Working on taking a 3rd one from them.
