I'm OK with running a DOT number.

I'm not OK with being forced to run a log book.
So much of my time is out of the truck and running a lawn mower/trimmer.
How do you log that? lol

25 and 80 the guys act pretty decent most of the time.
Way back when, I was getting my feet wet hauling cars with a wedge trailer the guys on 25 could have fined me into oblivion.
Instead they gave me a warning. And they told me to not try their patience.
Just because they were nice and gave one warning did not mean there would be a second warning.

Cell phone stays in the truck, and I don't have GPS on the mowers.

DOT is gonna have a witch of a time proving wrong any mileage claims. :biggrin_25523:

I get them all the time. No CDL, No logs, no nothing. Lot of them pulling with F350-F450, 3500 dodge duellies. Overwidth without permits. You name it, they got it wrong. They always say it's a friend's boat, but don't know that "friend's" name. They also say they are not getting paid, its a favor. Uh huh, my arse! I tear them a new arse when I see them. They are the biggest scam rolling. They get mad when I run the hull number or boat registration number and call the "real" owner. Who usually tell's me it's a boat hauling company that his marina set him up with. I don't see many new one's coming from the distributor.

You are probably catching the ushippers.

You might not be in the area where they are sending these suburbans and smaller trucks pulling these pontoon boats and such. They are obviously new boats completely covered in plastic.

I was at our lot Sunday checking for load papers and watched one of our drivers leaving with a very large trailer. No tag, no signs. Had a 1 inspection paper in the window. My guess. He was not legal to haul that trailer and was going under the wire.

Monday picking up the trailer to head to the SC docks. Another couple from Idaho were picking up theirs going to the docks as well. They left with no signs or license tag on the trailer. My guess. They were going to team drive and not have a log and say they bought the trailer if stopped.

I no longer mention this to safety. They do nothing about it.

I have thought about doing the same, but I know with my luck, I would be caught in one mile.

I hope you and your buddies catch them all some time in the future.:biggrin_25514:
