And yes, this is on the interstate. At least he isn't hanging on to it out the window.

Come on, they make it everyday. Someone, Somewhere right at this momnet is doing something stupid. Had a few today. The grand prize winner was stopped for speeding. Shut down for his log. Twenty minutes later, he was back out driving again. Thought I was going to let him ride right past me. I guess that great big arse 18 wheeler he was driving could not be noticed. Another driver, I will say it was a smaller truck under 26,000 lbs. Stopped for speeding, hands me a medical card that expired July 2011. Driver tells me, I have an appointment tonight. Even come back towards my patrol car and says I'm on the phone with the Doctor right now. I ask to talk to the doctor, nothing.....zilch....silence. There was no one on the phone. I hit the send button to see if I disconneced it, last call was to a "Fuzzy". I asked who his doctor was, as I recognized the doctor on the expired medical card as a long time family friend of mine. He said the doctor's name, the one I know personally from my hometown. So I called Doc, Doc is mid 80's, still a doctor that sees patients at his house. Doc said "I haven't talked to that guy in a long time, probably the last time I gave him a medical." Just as I thought, he thought I was a dumb arse.

Then had a local driver that was doing 15 over in a big truck. He was begging and pleading for a warning, or "just let me walk down the road please." as he stated over and over. He tried to hug me as I gave him the warning for speeding, but wrote him up for a bad tire instead.

Had one today. Local guy with dump bucket. Tags dead, IFTA revoked. 20,000 lbs overweight. Numerous out of service defects to include steering componets, suspension componets, 4 inoperative brakes, bad air lines, light issues, tire issues and frame issues. Stupidity is alive and well.

That would result in an immediate impounding of the truck?

At what level of multiple defects does a driver/owner go to jail?
