That's ridiculous. If he wants to act like that, just write the citation, have him sign it, give him his copy, and send him on his way. No conversation required. People like that don't deserve the extra effort.

That or I'm sure we could rig up a nifty little short range signal jammer that would put out just enough to disrupt the blutooth for a moment and drop his call at the push of a button.

If I'm on the phone, even though I'm on my bluetooth, I will end the call when going into a weigh station. Just common sense. My wife can wait the few minutes until I pass through to continue to complain about her mother, lol!

    Speedemon1084 and Brickman Thank this.

More phoneantics. I was at the Bossleman's in Salina, KS a week or so ago and was in the driver's lounge trying to watch TV with a few other drivers but we had a hard time doing that because this guy nearby sitting at one of the dinette tables kept talking on his phone, obviously switching between dispatch, his girlfriend, and either his wife or other girlfriend.

There use to be a sign at the POE in Cortez CO that said, "Please turn off your cell phone when in here.
Or we WILL find something wrong with your load!"

    Brickman Thanks this.

I like it!!! But the bosses probably would not.

Kind of like the one I have up: "If you are smoking, you had better be on fire!"

I would like to come up with a signal jammer to make my little chicken coop a cell phone free zone, though.:biggrin_255:

I can't stand them people. That goes anywhere. You'd think they are talking through a stringed can as loud as they talk. :)

They've got cell phone jammers and they're not hard to get. The problem is that it's obvious, people would catch on, and they're illegal as hell on a federal level. Enough to get even you in trouble.

But, I ran the idea past the roomate and we may be able to come up with a small, concealable version that fires a short burst when you hit the button. Nothing odd about a call dropping when you're inside an unfamiliar building, right? I'll let you know if we manage to fabricate a working model. Just, ah, don't get caught with it.
