In Section 376.1.1253 of the Chicken Haulers Code of Ethics, whenever a light is found to be inoperative, you must not only repair that light, but add 14 more lights....
This explains people like Highway Hank, who before the invention of LED's, bought the cheap Wal-Mart bulbs and had a lot of downtime with wire cutters in hand.Last edited: Jun 3, 2012
jbatmick Thanks this. -
Some log book woes from today.
A pair of team drivers were trying to do the old 5/5 - 6/4 sleeper splits. Haven't been able to do that since, what, 2004???
I know it is the 3rd day of a new month, but you still gotta keep your previous 7 days logs. 2 drivers did not have last month's logs (or at least the last 5 days of it).
Your truck may be fast, but 630 miles in 2.5 hours? Where is the jet engine??? (Maybe I did start driving earlier...)
Oh, and the old, "I am a farmer. I don't have to keep a log." Wrong.MNdriver, Gasienica, Giggles the Original and 1 other person Thank this. -
Well we can only hope that with the inspection blitz around the corner that DB will have mercy on us and post up what he finds

630 miles in 2.5 hours.....must've been on a plane with about 20 parachutes attached to the truck, now that would be a sight lol.
-
Saw one today that dieselbear would have loved. He passed me, but kept slowing down and weaving. I'd go to pass and he'd speed up. Finally I guess he was too busy to notice I was passing again. As I went by he had his cell to his ear and what appeared to be an Qualcomm unit or e-log on the steering wheel being messed with by his other hand.

wow....252 mph ?????? dang.....630 miles in 2.5 hrs....LOL
-
Should look under the hood on that one. That would be interesting.
-
I averaged a bit over 680mph yesterday for the first 13 minutes. Drove from Laramie to halfway between Denver and Limon.
Don't believe it? My elogs said so.
Elogs never make mistakes, right?
for what ever reason, it simply logged me as off duty during most of the drive time.
I almost left it, but figured I better edit it and put me on the drive line in case a LEO took a look.
I don't want to be responsible for their injuries when they fall over laughing. -
Hahah. Thats awesome. How does it feel. Is it like a low flying plane.
Seen a sticker before, I'm not speeding just flying low.
