Did he run into you and hurt you or cause damage to your property? Then what business is it of yours? I wish there was some kind of pesticide that could be sprayed that got rid of nosey nellies.

When and if he is caught, it will make the industry as a whole look bad. But, you will be happy if no one notices or cares?

Well, I would disagree. I think lining up and taking every little silly regulation that comes along makes "the industry" look bad. Government licensing schemes are silly. If your insurance wants to check you out before they enter into business with you, I'm fine with that, but the government has no business getting involved except to provide a court to hear contract disputes and claims of tort.

You realize that the driver is driving without a license. You ever wonder what happens when someone is driving without a license and has an accident?

I personally do not want my family or friends around to experience the effects.

I will gladly take the silly regulations to keep a person without a valid license off the road.

    cetanediesel Thanks this.

While I may wholeheartedly agree we could all use a little less gov't and a little more fresh air--we are talking about a convicted drunk driver--who lost his D/L for a REASON---and IMHO--is a selfish #######--who has NO biz in a vehicle--let alone a semi
This isn.t about gov't--or what it may or may not do to or mean to the industry(Im not a PR type--and a little to old to give a #### anymore)But after a lifetime of being out here--and things I have witnessed--I give no quarter to drunks/dopers etc----I could care less--how you live your life and/or what you do--UNTIL it effects me and mine--and knowingly getting in a vehicle and not givin a #### about the consequences of what may happen due to YOUR condition--is selfish--and I have personally have NO use for it----there is a time to play and a time to work
    Just my $.02

Wait till the DUI driver gets in a wreck and they find out he has no license, guess what, there will be more regulations put on us because of him. I hope someone turns him in and they take his CDL for life. He can go make $15 an hour at McDonalds for all I care.

The physical damage caused in a wreck isn't any more or less depending on whether all parties involved have a little piece of plastic in their pocket. Having the plastic doesn't necessarily make you a better driver, and not having it doesn't necessarily make you a worse driver.

Many times the insurance can and will deny coverage to the accident when caused by an unlicensed driver.

I'm not saying that people shouldn't be qualified to operate their equipment, I just don't think the government is the best entity to make the determination and carry out the qualification.
