Kinda hard to get a "DUI" if he wasn't driving or attempting to drive a vehicle. Most be like the other poster said, violating probation. The reason he got so much time, is they cut his dumb arse a break and had the time hanging over his head. He wasn't smart enough to stay out of trouble during the probation period.
Just some of the stupid things I see

They aren't required to do background checks on their suppliers.
Let's take it a step further. Do you do a background check on every service or company that you use for any reason?
Are background checks required on customers in a grocery store?
I dunno, Dave. It just seems to me like the world is becoming worse and worse as time goes on.truckerdave1970, lilillill, 2fuzy and 1 other person Thank this. -

My guess is and only a guess, no alcohol or drug consumption was part of the probation. Or violating any laws. Just what I see almost daily in court.rocknroll nik, Brickman and Working Class Patriot Thank this. -

However he was in public while violating his probation,.....He got what he deserved,... -
Oh yes, and now we get to pay another $140,000 a year for his mistake. Great system.

well i guess the alternative is to hang himInjun Thanks this. -
And this person that you know probably had more on his record than he was letting on. My sister's bf has violated his court ordered Phase II Program, twice. He's got multiple DUI's. He's still not done any jail time, except to sober up and then get turned loose to go out and do it again. He has a suspended license, but still drives to the liquor store and sometimes goes down to Sacramento to see his family of alcoholics. I say pack them in there like sardines if you have to. They broke the law, let them suffer. Using kid gloves doesn't do any good.
Don't those Judges know an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure?Big Don Thanks this.
