I dunno on that one. I drink a pretty decent amount at home but never on the road, even if I'm technically off the clock.
Just some of the stupid things I see

Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

Possible...maybe probable!outerspacehillbilly Thanks this. -
I do not get it either.
I use to go out and have a few on a regular basis.
Once I got back to driving I got to where I hardly ever drink anymore.
I will not touch a drink if I will be in a CMV in the next 24 hours. And I will not drive my car if I have had more than 1.
Some people are just not very intelligent.
What is the saying "You can't fix Stupid"dieselbear Thanks this. -
I bought a case of beer last New Year's, sad thing is I still have over a 12 pack in the fridge. That crap will be stale by the time I get to it.
outerspacehillbilly Thanks this. -
LOL, Exactly.
I bought a 12 pack and I think my wife threw out the 8 that were left a month or so ago. It was from New Years as well.
Now I buy a 6 pack and normally only a few get thrown out. Since if I get home in the afternoon or evening I will have one before bed.
Or if I just got done cutting the grass, or am on the porch grilling.
Never have friends over. Been on the road too long to have many at home anymore. -
Hey DB the whole deal on that is they aren't thinking....They aren't thinking about their career, their lives, or the lives of others that they might take away. I think people like that have the nothing can touch me I'm invincible mentality.

Obviously you can't fix stupid.
My excuse for turning down "one for the road" has ALWAYS been .... "I'm too fat to do heavy manual labor"
Which is about the only job that'll be available if I can't drive.
And I'm like you, I don't think prison would fit real well on me. I like to see whats around the next corner too much. Even now that I'm off the road I have a job that I'm constantly on the move. Typically never at any one location more than a few hours.trukngrl Thanks this. -
I don't understand how those folks can have so little regard for their fellow human beings. Be it alcohol or drugs, getting behind the wheel of any vehicle and putting others lives at risk is insane. I'm not perfect, back at 19-21 I did it, too. Thankfully, I never hurt myself or anybody else. I realized how stupid it was and never did it again.
