Just some questions came up after the I70 crash in CO.

It has been said that the guy had only been in the US for 2 years or so. So all together he had less than 2 years of driving experience in a regular car....

 

From that downgrade to west denver there are several more downgrades including one blessed hill. A small one. He had miles to stop.

He never stopped. Until 4 people died so he will get stopped the messy way. That's the killing by vehicle.

There is enough counts at which if all of them are ruled against the kid it will be several lifetimes to get free which will not happen.

Part of what i have said in the past has pointed to a trucking industry and lack of training. That particular route (I-70 and also I-80 Donner) are not for newbies or children.

I-70 is particularly painful as the state has covered the highway in signage easy to understand to any American trucker. But to one who does not know much English?: Well there should not have been allowed for him to get out into a situation like that.

I can go on but ultimately I am repeating myself. That's never good. It's over, done the courts will convict him and off to jail he goes. The company will be essentially vaporized and the survivors will get next to nothing. Until the next runaway that kills people.

 

Two questions I would like answered .
1. who owns Castellano 03 trucking LLC?
2. Who dispatched this driver on this load?

 

“Too stupid”, has to be understood. It’s not lack of information, training or road signage.

It’s literally being unable to tie your shoes no matter how many times it’s explained and demonstrated.

Mass x speed x distance (formulate it however) makes NO SENSE to those who can’t deduce how to merge onto a highway from information in the mirrors. (Have to be next to the other vehicle FIRST).

Cannot make deductions. An abstract skill. Why they are not educable past sixth grade.

Not a one can safely operate above 45-mph. Even the ones who’ve driven years. Same roads for years on end gives cover.

Try living & working where they are a majority. The old hands who seem admirable will eventually shock you. They’re NOT prepared.

1) Hurrying up to follow the next truck is their “strategy”.

2) Or passing everyone

One, or the other. Unable to adapt.

All else is too hard.

Truck keys handed to a really dull 12-yr old. Understand that picture and the rest ALWAYS falls into place.

Such as:

(Cruise control isn’t used. Why?). “All of a sudden, the truck just TOOK OFF!”

Should NEVER have been in this country in the first. Any of them.

Totally agree...The last time I drove down Cabbage or Meachum or Emmigrant Hill,Dead Mans Pass...Whatever they call it ...I "toggled" between 35 up to 45...then down to 35.Im not in a race.Ill take the right lane...if someone cares to take the hammer lane 55...well thats Just being careless...my thoughts anyway..Ill make up the 6 minutes lost from Hermiston exit to the Dalles.Last time I had a family in a RV drop back behind me (at a safe following distance and just stay there.Plus...It may be unknown to some Drivers...but...Cops love to sit down at the bottom of that last straightaway(in the center median ..with drivers window down and "Sniff for burning brakes".

They'll do the same thing west-bound off of Donner. They'll either hide at the mandatory brake check on top of Blue Canyon and catch people who don't stop or they'll duck back into the Baxter exit at the bottom of Blue Canyon and watch for smoking brakes.
