Someone was just telling me about the department of labor offering something that paid for the tuition and then I wouldn't have to worry about repayment I'll look into that tomorrow and see if they have funds available for it

Don't be offended by this but that is scary. One years experience and training other drivers?

@Ridgeline I was wondering about that too..lots of companies are saying you can be a trainer within 3-6 months

not offended at all. I see a lot of wrecks out there and I doubt they are all rookies. I also see so many trucks running in my opinion way to fast, FedEx for instance. how many more years do you think one needs to train? I'm educated, have about 100k in the truck at Roehl, I know when to call it a day. I met the requirements, tested, and am comfortable with it.

they all have their cdls and med cards by the time I see them...technically they are an equal to any other class a holder. like I've said Roehl is selective on who it hires, the guys I've had so far have been awesome..and I know when to pull the plug on them too. what's scary is seeing how some others drive ..lol on peoples ###es, speed, lol. I'm extremely sorry youre stuck at CRE...we are nothing like them.

I'm not at cre. I pulled the plug on that when they introduced me to a "trainer" because I took time off. This guy wanted me to put his truck in a parking spot because after 20 or so failed attempts, he couldn't.

i went through ffe. if i was doing it again, i'd prob go with Mills, just saying. what i'd look for now is a company that would put me out with a trainer with more than a years exp. at the time ffe's requirement was only 6 mos. been out almost 18 months now and no way i'd wanna train someone yet. i mean i'm greedy and want the money, but no thanks.
