Just want to confirm something about removing top bunk

    Just folding it up not enough room?

    I folded mine up and squeezed into cheap Walmart plastic drawers for extra storage.

    Just do it the smart way, order it without the upper bunk and then take it to a custom shop like ICT or ARI and have them do the work, but don't take it to Bolt - they do very crappy work and have very poor customer service.

    Yes but I wonder if the built in shelves would be in the way. I'll have to unbolt it first to see. I'll get it out one way or the other. So I guess the answer to my original question is that the top bunk is simple attached with visible bolts that once you unscrew it pops off.

    take a saws all and cut the bunk in a u shape 18 inches from the sides and back then use that for a base for the shelves actually could get a ladder from a bunk bed and save a space for it and build shelves all the way to ceiling
