Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

Wow... you actually sent that message!!! I was wondering who that 28% was...
-
-
The percentage is slowly dropping. Micro management at its best. Someday maybe we well have a real safety department.
Fewe Thanks this. -
my dm told me i was the only one to do it all the time. they know when you do it before or after your backup. i actually got out and looked about half the time. never can be too sure when you are new
-
If/when I need to get out and look, I send the message after I am backed in.
It is a needless distraction when I am actually in the process of backing.Rug_Trucker Thanks this. -
For us former Swifty's...what is this rule? You have to send a GOAL message on the qualcomm and honk before you back?
-
All drivers out of some terminals are supposed to send G.O.A.L. on the qualcomm everytime before backing their truck and honk the city horn every 2-3 seconds while backing. Memphis is one of the terminals which requires all company drivers to do this and have threatened to revoke mentor status for those who don't send the message. I see this policy as a HUGE distraction to the driver who is actually trying to back without hitting anything.
I'll let all you imaginative peoples out there use your imagination when determining my willingness to follow the aforementioned policy...
PS- I'm not above or against actually Getting Out And Looking when the situation warrants, it's just the asinine nature of the policy which serves to cause the very distraction which the policy purports to attempt to prevent. -
