No don't start blaming it on "new generation of drivers" , this issue has been going on forever!

You have 14 hrs a day available, why would you NOT use it? Thats why 80 hrs. a week is quite common, thats what we do! If you are going to be stuck in a truck, you might as well keep it moving!

Really? Good luck pursuing that. If I was the owner, I would immediately throw all his stuff into a dumpster. You don't like it? SUE ME.

I would be more concerned with the guy who responds ## and burns your terminal down....lots of crazy people out in the world these days.

That's a childish thing to do and 2 wrongs don't make a right. Be a professional and take the higher ground. They should just box the drivers belongings up and have the driver pick them up at his/her expense.

But I haven't heard much good from this company, so I would probably expect them to take the low road as you would do. If I was the OP, I'd just write it off and move on down the line.

Because I don't have to. I work usually 9-9.5 and then I go home. Never touch a weekend. Still make over a grand a week.

I work for A.D.Transport Express out of Canton, MI. When I go onto my break, I send message in telling them when I will be back on duty. They WILL NOT call me during that time unless something extreme happens. They might send message, but I can turn the volume down on that and they are fine with that. Generally if you are running hard, you will run out of hours before the end of the week. I am fortunate, I do about 80% drop and hook, so the Elogs are fine. They can't offer me illegal loads, and if they did I can't be tempted to run them. In the old days, thats just what it was. They couldn't "force" you to do illegal loads, but lets face it, you did them, because you needed to get paid. You claimed maybe .5 hour for loading or unloading , you waited till you were loaded and only fueled after that, no sense swiping that fuel card (tattletale) early in the day because you would claim that in the sleeper, even though you may have been deadheading to next load! Nowadays, if you run Elogs, and you want to make money, you need to do drop and hook , otherwise you're battling the clock.
