Any job at any company is what YOU make it.
If he likes it there and is a driver, more power to him.

He just comes across as a recruiter to me.

Ok so OP is mistaken on a few details IK because i work here as well
the whole fly home crap is off, if you live in the states they deliver to (midwest) you take your truck home bobtailing, if not you will be flown to home and back home roughly making it 12 days off technically.
You work 8 weeks straight for 10 off or 16 straight for 20 off and can be combined with vacation days.1750 guaranteed a week but they have aetna and without my consent aetna forced their most expensive plan on me for 250 a month even tho i already have insurance.
Ive not heard of this 1k during my 10 days off crap either. They nag at you for a temp check every 2-3 hours which is iritating, nag at you to be on duty for fueling or thwir log dept will force u to call them.

 

I bought a 2nd phone because they also force you to install lifesaver app on your phone as well im o ly here for the pay because ive not known any GOOD paying jobs especially with guarantees

I do know one thing there ain’t one company on this planet that is going to demand I put an app that tracks me on my phone. I pay the bill. I say what goes on my phone and if any company doesn’t like it well, they can shove it where the sun don’t shine
