I think it's pretty cool that you've found somewhere that works for you. What types of lanes does K&B run? We've has many drivers that came to us from there, and ut wasn't their cup of tea. Also is it true that you have to relay loads a lot?

    ... I'm sure he won't post much ...
I cant imagine myself being laid off and instead of asking for best company here to get rehired he comes back moment later to tell his fellow brother how lucky he is and how great new company is .... maybe it's just me

We mostly run the midwest with a little bit of southeast mixed in and we mostly haul out of meat plants so yes we relay loads a lot to ensure on time delivery.

Different strokes for different folks, but I could not even think about staying out for 8 weeks. not even come close to it.. Plus having to deal with meat plants, no thank you, I have not been that hungry.

700 trucks is pretty close to mega territory. I also don't understand why a company would explicitly not do 34's. Seems like the most efficient way is running out as many of the drivers hours as possible, and then if recaps are needed, then so be it. Pretty easy to run out hours in 6 days and technically be half a day ahead of recaps if things luck out.

With that being said, a former dispatcher of mine at a company in a neighboring town was a dispatcher at K&B as well. He did confirm that most of the horror stories were false. Sioux City is a pretty easy area to run in and out of as well. It might be a decent place to work.

Personally, I think a big boy company would have less than a 29% OOS and less than 85 wrecks in 24 months, but I guess that comes with being a warrior of the road and not a mega carrier driver.

I once talked to one of their drivers while waiting at a receiver...he said he went there for the guaranteed weekly minimum.

I try to run nights as much as possible so that part wouldn't be bad in my book.
