It looks like I will be loading at Tyson in Ottawa IL tomorrow morning and taking it to the yard so this "recruiter" can fly out to LA for 10 days!

So you’re pretty happy there and are not a new guy to trucking. Take a few minutes and gives us a few paragraphs on what you do, what the road warrior thing is, and discuss why no resets. .. Maybe not needed due to waiting… I personally don’t do resets either. Discuss what a real avg weekly gross is, the trucks, home time, company culture. I bet there som that may want to know what it’s like over there. I’m glad to hear you found a good home.

The road warrior program is where you stay out for 8 weeks and get 10 days off. K&B will fly you anywhere in the lower 48 for that time off on their dime. They also give you a $1000 home time bonus just so you have some money coming in when you're off.

We get paid a minimum guarantee of $1750 a week as long as we are available for dispatch from noon on Monday to noon on the next Monday so resets will cause that guarantee to go away. I usually average $1900 to $2100 gross every week.
And yes we do have to wait sometimes at the meat plants so we run on recaps and take split sleeper breaks all the time pretty much.

Sounds like good pay. 2 months is a long time to be in the truck, but I guess that’s what somebody is looking to do to ask to be in that program. Hopefully those are 10 full days and not half or travel days counted. Sounds all right for a “road warrior.”

2 months straight with a reefer... with washout lines... grocery DCs, 2am appointments and and and ....... lumpers :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

For my time off they'd have to fly me to an insane asylum after that.

Yea it's ridiculous that one would need to stay out that long to make good money. I get home most every weekend. Stay out 2 weeks sometimes. Pull a hopper bottom an easily net over 1k a week. No grocery warehouses an happy as i can be.

$1750 is what you will make on a bad week here. Thats why they have the guarantee.
