Running a load for FREE is when you deliver a load and just break even. You have covered your expenses but did not make anything. This ### hat thinks you should lose money delivering a load like a thousand bucks worth of YOUR MONEY!
I have a better idea if your hellbent on pissing away money. Take the broker out and get him drunk laid at a tt bar. Far more effective and you may have a good time too.

The idea is to convince a broker/customer to see you as a credible partner which otherwise you would not have a chance to do. It is practiced in the sales world. A Baker will give you the first loaf of bread for free, when he knows you run a restuarant and you need 25 loafs every day.
.
What KR says does not nessecarly apply to little bitty 'God have marcy on you' carries hustling on the spot market. It applies to real business people who think past the garbage freight pool.
To someone who says, "I have 10 trucks and you got 3 loads of pet food every Monday, let me show you I can deliver them for you like nobody else, 1 load, I will do free for a month...you will tell me what you think after. Ok?"gentleroger, pumpkinishere, Speed_Drums and 1 other person Thank this. -
He also says 'do the hardwork' to be successful.
Obviously, finding long term, dedicated customers is not an easy task even if you offered freebies, so successful are those who can.
Unfortunately, he does not practice what he preaches to show how that works in reality.
To me he is a good entertainer, and a salesman of unimportant things.
I like his outlook upon life in general.pumpkinishere Thanks this. -
Not sure loyalty is all that common anymore
Last company I was leased on to had customers coming and going like the wind
Sure they had “ their “ customers as they would say but those loads were cheap and the competition was the higher rate
Low bid or free gets the work unless you have a service that’s far above anyone else
Everybody is in this for the money grab
Shippers. Brokers. Drivers. Trucking companies. KR and Ramsey
None of these would do the job for freeLast edited: Dec 18, 2021
