k40-7 speech processor radio

    hello everyone does anyone have any good or bad info on an older k40-7 speech processor cb radio i purchased one as "new old stock" never used and in factory packaging. its like an uniden 520 or a cobra 19.. any input would be appreciated I have been around the block for 15 yrs but never heard of a k40-7 radio..

    The K-40 needs a little help. Modulation: Cut D14. Power adjust: L6, L5. It will help some.

    If I remember correctly, didnt the original K40 microphone have a speech compressor circuit in it when it was first sold?

    Yes it did. And a switch for Hi/Lo audio to make your voice sound better. Nice sounding mikes.
