Big rig sought in Neosho County fatal hit-and-run crash
KANSAS CITY, Mo. —The Kansas Highway Patrol is looking for a big rig involved in a Neosho County, Kansas, fatal hit-and-run crash.

The wreck happened at 12:30 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 169, two miles north of the Kansas 39 junction.

Troopers believe a northbound, red colored Freightliner truck hit a southbound tractor-trailer, causing the southbound truck to overturn off the highway, killing the driver.

Investigators said the big rig that fled will have extensive damage to the driver's side, including the trailer from the crash. The step for the driver's side door and other items were found at the scene.

Anyone with information on the truck is asked to call investigators at 620-431-2100.

The driver may be in shock and not have remembered having had a wreck.

They'll find the truck abandoned somewhere and the ex-driver will be found within 3 days once they figure out who they're looking for.
