It's also a good opportunity to educate the kids. Get them a big map of the USA and let them place a push pin into it each night when Daddy calls in so they can see where he is the night in relation to where they are. And if he can manage, bring the kids something home from each of his trips. At their ages, it doesn't have to be anything that costs much money - maybe a free ball cap he got from a shipper, or an interesting looking rock he picked up in some far away place. It just reenforces the idea that Daddy is always thinking about them when he's away. Good luck!

Oh I know it will suck all around, he will want to be at home just as much as we want him to be, since this has been a joint decision and we are going into this with me fully supporting him hopefully I won't be one of those wives that whines & wants him to come home, not that I won't want him home but I vow to not make him feel bad cause I know if will be just as hard on him. 15 years of seeing each other everyday will be a hard habit to break.
