It's also a good opportunity to educate the kids. Get them a big map of the USA and let them place a push pin into it each night when Daddy calls in so they can see where he is the night in relation to where they are. And if he can manage, bring the kids something home from each of his trips. At their ages, it doesn't have to be anything that costs much money - maybe a free ball cap he got from a shipper, or an interesting looking rock he picked up in some far away place. It just reenforces the idea that Daddy is always thinking about them when he's away. Good luck!

I actually thought about doing just that, & we don't have to skype all the time as long as I get a call or a text even if he can't call everyday hopefully he will text saying he is okay & tired & going to sleep or such so momma doesn't worry LOL

Oh I know it will suck all around, he will want to be at home just as much as we want him to be, since this has been a joint decision and we are going into this with me fully supporting him hopefully I won't be one of those wives that whines & wants him to come home, not that I won't want him home but I vow to not make him feel bad cause I know if will be just as hard on him. 15 years of seeing each other everyday will be a hard habit to break. :biggrin_2557:

no openings with coke, or budweiser near us, nothing with ups or fedex, he did apply to WM. most local places want at least 6 months OTR experience so he may just have to pay his dues.

    123456 Thanks this.

Go one step further, depending on the data capabilities of his phone, maybe you can do something like Google Latitude so you and the kids can see where he is, and learn about geography that way.
