How do you guys dry your straps after getting freezing rain and snow soaked on them?
I see some guys putting thiem in the passenger floor boards to dry but seems messy especially with hard wood flooring.
Keeping your straps from freezing?

I put mine in the bunk cubby. If there is no room there was a post on here a looong time ago that I thought was a good idea. The fella wired a white backup light (incandescant not LED) inside the tool box on his trailer. He said it was enough heat to keep his straps from freezing and give him a lighted toolbox as a bonus.

Excuse my ignorance, there's a lot of it.
Has anyone thought of scotch guarding their straps? Or some other water proofer solution? OR - would that possibly degrade the strap and render them useless? Just an idea I've had for awhile. Thoughts?Flightline Thanks this. -
Heated tool storage boxes would be a nice option. 6 more weeks.....

A few years ago, I purchased orange PVC coated straps. Almost waterproof, great for winter but quite a bit heavier and made hard to throw over high loads and harder to roll up with my home made winder.
But thanks for reminding me of those straps. I might haveta dig them out of the barn at home.Badcable Thanks this. -
...and here I was thinking it was a dumb idea, someone already made millions on it :/

Ok yall might think Im nuts but, hear me out. I use the orange straps work great, last longer and yea they are heavier but work well. As far as deicing and drying I have a milk crate that is layed on its side with pegs in it that ive taken some of my wifes cookie racks (dangerous part) lets air get around them I can fit them in my side box and I put a drip pan under the crate (another one borrowed from the wife) to catch water. usually they dry and defrost in a couple of hours then I just put them back in my headache rack
