What do they got as far as Liquid goes for Trimac up that way or at the terminal your going to ...? -
Kentucky
They do dry bulk now but they are or are in the process of closing on acquiring some big businesses and mergers. They will be turning from a dry bulk only terminal to a U.S. Division General Carrier. Probably like the other terminals. This is why they need drivers and he wanted to hire me. He is going to need drivers that can haul ALL materials, dry and liquid, hazmat etc... That is why he liked the fact I had tanker, hazmat and a TWIC card. This terminal is only 10 minutes from the Port of Indiana. He is telling me once this transaction is finalized, drivers will be begging for time off. They are non union. If you want, email me, pleshaknight@yahoo.com and I will send you Lucian's, the terminal manager's, direct phone number and you can speak to him directly for information. -

Yeah .. Fish
They told me LA was booming and that I could still use this terminal in Calvert for home time ... And there was nothing the cry babies in the union could do . The sad thing bought it all is this
I boycotted the union by not signing the contract . Cause basically all it is is paying for a dispatch ... That's it no other benies
1. 360.00 to join
2. Then 82.00 a month
3. No pension
4. No insurance
5. Nothing
Just simply so they can have seniority dispatch that's it
It's stupid and I disagree with paying to just be dispatched -

How's it going at SPCR ?
I heard some stuff bout SPCR and Schneider doing a small merger in PA
Pulling some product SPCR was the the head chief in the deal
You got any info on that ? -
That's good if they are willing to work with you. I did do alot of checking on this company and have not heard anything bad. That is why I'm on the fence. I am so used to recruiters,etc.. lying or stretching the truth until you are onboard and you find out the true story. Always good to check this site and others for other drivers views.

kentucky 24 i think you are mistaken about dispatch at calvert city it is 1st in 1st out all week the only time seniority dispatch is on friday
-
Sounds fair to me ...
It may SUPOST to be first in first out weekly but I can tell you there is absolutely no way it's ran that way cause the same guys get the same stuff almost every week ... Why others sit
The same guys pretend there trucks are over weight of the run the want don't fall to them
The same guys who made me spend 1,500.00 on my fifth wheel fabrication ... Cause it was gonna bump a load to them even though it's not in MY CONTRACT to pull the trailer only
TANKS & ISO CONTIANERS
But hey the guy who cried wolf on me in the same breath said his truck was over weight to pull the same load ... But yet I had to fabricate my truck ...
Yep it's first in First out ...
Ask the high ups about the INVISIBLE BOARD ... That those loads I mentioned above THE CREAM is held until they get back to pull it even if it's late , Ask how once when I came in and was told to go home there was no loads ... And the TM heard it went to the back and found me a Hidden Decater AL ... Dedicated ... Run that didn't exist just 30 seconds earlier ( not exadurating ) it was less than 1 minute
And the guy whom it was HELD for tried to complain and threaten to file a GRIEVENCE ... Cause that load was gone ...
Yep it's first in first out ...
Depending on who you are ...
Just not gonna happen with me cause I refuse to play the cry baby games ... And yes I have complained , and Yes I did call corporate about it ... And yes I intend to transfer
I'm not flaming ... I'm just giving the facts
The rules WILL EVENTUALLY change at Calvert
I also got no problem letting you know my truck is the Blue Freightliner with the MARINE CORP decal on the side and that my name is JASON -
Senior Driver :
Call and find what load is aval and what place on the board it is and how long you need to wait to arrive at the yard ...
Low Driver :
What's on the board ?
Dispatch : we don't know for sure we will know more closer to 10 or 2
Difference :
The senior guy finds out what he wants ( load ) or plans his arrival dispite company needs to get his preferred load ... Determined by the position it will be dispatched on the board and arrives precisely .. By using the phone method with fellow senior driveers etc to devise the plan ...
The low guys are stuck with the remains and if anything is left to be sent out that day ...
Senior drivers will also come in take a load with no hours and go home take 10 hr break and load will be late when low driver had fresh 11-14
Senior guys will also come in check the board not sign wait for a truck or 2 to come in while they wait in the truck or pretend to get a minor repair done ... ( light etc) then trick the low driver to sign the board therefore getting them again their desired run
Yep it's ... First come first out
Like I said depends on who you are
