i think if kentucky 24 joined the union at this terminal he would have plenty of work available
-
Are about the best people in the world to work for will do anything for you .. I'll admit that
The prob I got is MK ( you will know what that stands for ) told me I'd be able to just run system and only pull DEDICATED on a need to basis thus they have a DEDICATED and SYSTEM board
I was told that I would have no issues pulling of 2500 a week in miles
Running system .
My best week at Calvert has been 1979 miles that's hub miles and not paid miles so paid miles roughly 1900 or slightly less I have had full weeks that I have got 800 or less on miles .. With fixed costs and things I can't begin to tell you what my checks have been .
I know you know me or have seen me there . I'm a nice clean cut guy I don't throw fits ... Nothing ... Even close to that .. Heck I even cut drivers hair in the break room ( military cuts )
So trouble maker not who I am .. Hard worker whom just wants to pull a load / reload and keep going and go home every 2 weeks possibly 3
That's all I ask for ...
I was upfront about this coming in to the terminal . Have had 3 sit downs with TM ( terminal mgr ) about my concerns and 3-4 phone conversations with TM about the same .
Just after my last talk in person 2 weeks( give or take a few days ) ago
I was then forced to fabricate my truck to pull a TUBE TRAILER which you will know what that is .. DIF ..
To those that don't it's basically a chasis for a ISO but with a boxed front in like a flat bed with no head ache rack the problem is the king pin on these 3-4 trailers have a forward kingpin which would cause the trailer to hit my cab .. Cause my tool box is mounted on the cat walk against the cab ...
It's not listed to have to pull this type trailer . My truck was inspected at 2 trimac facilities ..
My truck pulls .. ALL Tanks / ISO chasis
Just won't pull that 1 type trailer ...
So in short I'm forced to fabricate my truck on my dime at 1500 dollars for not being able to pull the trailer due to a GRIEVENCE filed against me
Because the load fell to another IC that just didn't want to do it ..
Thus IC ( remains nameless here but I know who it is ) claims his truck is over weight and throws a fit ... Passes down to another bottom guy ( Co Driver ) who had planned on going home but was forced to go to NJ now on account of this
My fuss to the TM was if my truck will not pull it and you make me fabricate it ( push my fith wheel back .. Tons of work and welds ) which will esentualky make my truck over weight on the drives now because my truck was sit up specifically for Tanking ... How does HE ... ( the other IC claim he's over weight and you do nothing ...
That IC ... ( who again nameless here but has a bright red truck )
Makes statements to other drivers how he will run ME out of this terminal and he would see to it I did not make it ..
My Friday load offers since that statement
Nothing Friday 5-13
Calhoon Ga - 300 miles 5-20
Nothing 5-27
So I ask you does it seem like he's winning ?
And I get to fabricate the truck to suite 1 driver who has now formed his little possy of a few now as I been told by a few drivers and the TM to have any reason to file a complaint on me ...
Since I brought to the attention he was conviently over weight
Which he had come to find out pulled that trick several times in his 17-18 yrs there at the terminal
My decision is based on the game at the terminal and not the
Company ... I'm gonna try to stay with trimac ...
Going to get transfer rolling in the morning ( cont from Friday ) again
tomorrow ...
Again not Trimac I have a prob with -
I only held out because ... I was told I'd need to be sure this is gonna work .. ( by corporate )
If it's a Fight them or Join them type deal then I'm not sure I'd want to be part of that either ..
What happened to Drivers standing together ...
Helping each other ... Not trying to run a new member from a terminal
DIF ... I've asked several times to have this process explained to me .
How many times has it been : 0
I've had to call around and find out everything I've learned -
By holding out before I was sure
Is code for ...
NO REFUNDS !!! -
Here's what I been told ranges
To join :
$ 300-360
Monthly
$ 60-78.00 -
thats always what the union throws up in your face, if your not one of them, your a trouble maker. sad.
