This would be a company driver position. He said it was a Nipsco account and they are the main gas and electric company for this area. Clint said it was 12 hour shifts
12 hours off. The terminal manager will ask for volunteers for Saturdays. It all sounds good. I will meet with the terminal manager on Wed. He also stated $150.00 a run at least two runs a day maybe three once I become experienced. I am just hoping it is not seasonal. He stated it was not. Can you give me an overview of the hiring process, pay, and insurance. They seem to be very family oriented and and include the wifes in activities as well.

Id take it ... Even if it ends up seasonal which I doubt it is trimac don't normally do short campagins ... But worse case your in as a company driver and can run the system which is what I prefer .. More money in it

You can't go wrong with Trimac

What's the terminal your looking at

    Hiring Process :

    The normal stuff

Drug screen / physical .. Etc

Then a 1 week school in Houston Tx ( Bayport )

After that you will be with a trainer paid by the hour I believe ( differs by terminal ) Until you are ready to go on your own ...

It's just the normal for the hiring process

    Insurance : I hear it's good but I'm a O/ O so I'm not able to take the health insurance ...

By "running the system", do you mean OTR? Looked into Trimac and only positions in OK are in Tulsa. Like where I'm living now cause its cheap. Brother kind of accepts whatever rent I feel like paying. lol

Portage, Indiana. Thanks for your comments. From what I have heard it sounds good. I do hand unload food delivery now and at 51 it is getting a little old as I am as well.

    Ok

I took off today , had to rescue a load headed to Texas met the driver in Jackson TN , got paid dead head from my drive way to bobtail down to the Pilot and meet the driver ,

Got hooked up ( non haz load ) and on my way gonna have to reschedule the appointment , which is fine set to deliver at 6 am in the morning
LOC - central dispatch says it will be fine just let them know when I can make it
    Real nice folks ...

650 miles to consignee from Jackson Tn
120 miles from my house to Jackson ( paid miles)

And I had a choice ... I could have stayed home . You have options here I was ready to get back out and run ... So off I go to TX

    Update tomorrow !!! :)

Thanks. Yeah, US Foods same as me. It takes it toll after awhile. What are some of the downsides to dry bulk? He said it could take 1 45 minutes to do an unload. Is there a lot of waiting around to get unloaded?
