So I am looking at buying a KW W900. There are a few for sale right now at pretty good prices. These trucks seem to be built at a very high level, nice and solid.

I have heard that the KW's have common electrical issues. Is this true or just a couple of bad trucks?

I don't own one now but my '98 T-300 was bulletproof... no issues on that one.

A W900 is a well built truck. I prefer my Pete because of it's lower profile that makes it easier for an old man with bad knees to get in and out... there's nothing nicer than a KW with a VIT or Seattle interior IMHO.

The only disadvantage (for me) is they can be a little heavier than a 379... depending on how it's spec'd. That may not be an issue for you...

I've never had any KW's leave me stranded or made me go to a shop for electrical reasons. I have come across a lot of little bs stuff like lights and guages but it seems most of the time it's related to water damage or corrosion. Nothing out of the ordinary or nothing worse then any other brand of truck. That's just been my experience. Good luck.

    Thanks guys!!

I am 6'4" so I find a 379 a bit tight. Not enough leg room. I love the way they look, they just don't fit me!!

I have owned a FL Classic and drove a WesternStar LowMax for a year. The Star was a very nice riding truck but quite heavy.

    Thanks again for the help!

Only trucks I've heard of with electrical issues is International, first few years of KW T2000's and Volvo. But I've never had any electrical issues with KW.

Deff not much leg room there!! The Star was great for room under the dash.

Maybe folks say they have electrical issues 'cause the rest of the truck lasts so long!! lol
