I know someone else brought up him being out for money, but I don't care about that. I believe when you assume the role of an educator, you become held to a higher standard. Kevin Rutherford is really just broadcasting an advertorial, but not disclaiming it as such. It's a slimy tactic and people are getting fooled into buying "approved" products they falsely believe have been tested objectively.

I passed through the KR section at the show yesterday afternoon. It was as busy as in past years. I did spot KR for a moment on his way out with one or two other folks, so he did not dodge the show. I seriously doubt there will be much more coming out of this issue publicly unless PP exits this year's show with substantially fewer orders on account of it, than previous years. The only time spent nearby was sitting with an ATD guy talking about trailer tails as an excuse to sit on their comfy sofa for about 10 min and rest my feet. If he comes through with a good local dealer contact, or offers to hook up my regular shop as a dealer, he may have earned a sale with that couch LOL.tsavory Thanks this. -

Ya'll know how this ends, right? PP gets a letter from their lawyer, and the PP lawyer works out a deal where they are compensated for the rebuild, but it will include a non-disclosure agreement. PP turns it into their insurance, and the snake oil flows as freely as ever.
And Red, it was more of a rhetorical "like to be there. " I couldn't stand to listen to his bs long enough to hear if someone asked the hard question, but I'd love to see the response before his mouth opened. I've become more adept at reading body language after working in the office for a while.Cat sdp, mtoo and RedForeman Thank this. -
What I don't understand in this whole Micro Blue Bearing thing is why did PP not install them I mean how much extra can a set of microblue cam and rods and mains be ? 600 bucks?
is PP that broke that they had to sell the MicroBlued bearings out of the build to someone else to cover a payment on 1 of their 3 Dynos they bought?
Also i wonder if their was any microblue on the pistons and liners !!! -

Idk about bearings only, but the MB Detroit overhaul kits w/pistons, liners, bearings etc. was $5,200+up. Im not sure if this kit includes all gaskets, seals etc.
Other website complete inframe kits w/pistons, liners, etc go for about $2500

Out of reading this section. Does anyone have a timeline of the process?
Truck sat where? Motor came from Detroit? PP have a punch list of work to be done. Some where someone has or had to of been looking at
this first,
then this, then put that together.
Anyone who is an engine builder has some sort of list of what he's doing. Even when you have fuel system, rotating assembly ,exhaust assembly
I realize KR has his list of products, he regurgitates to his minions as gold.
I would of assumed either MicroBlue Or PP would have a paper trail to show what or who did what to where?
Im not a face"crack" user. I've only scene what some had posted on track my truck.
On a side note. KR will be shielded from this by others. To much money involved, to hang him out to drive.
Micro blue and PP is another story all together. -
Scary part is pp somehow scammed EPA into believing that their tunes are emisson legal because of their extensive testing ... One really has to wonder if that's all smoke and mirrors as well so they can sell overpriced tuning
