Of the many bumble that was is pretty glaring and like someone pointed out if the owners actually greased the truck themselves could have been caught much sooner.

200K truck, all these "specialty shops" engaged, and this happens???...sorry, but the fact that a competent shop was used (instead of the original) does not make up for the fact that this is HORRIBLE....PP owes these folks an engine and, maybe, a lot of money.....Rutherford's rep should be ruined by this.....
This is ridiculous, it's bad enough that the build quality of these trucks is lousy straight from the factory, but these "tuner" shops, should go above and beyond for this kind of money....black_dog106 Thanks this. -
Who wants to call Micro Blue and ask how the product provides any benefit if it completely disappeared without a trace on the PPKR engine?
Davidlee and tommymonza Thank this. -

Apparently they hold a patent for tungsten disulfide, which has some merit, developed by NASA and used in the airline industry. One site mentions recoating every year in industrial applications but they also have experimented with some surface prep methods to help with adhesion. I also read that there is a problem with detergents, it doesn't hold up to detergents and our oils have detergents...
I can't find anything that really makes me think I understand it. That concerns me, if they are using tungsten disulfide why don't they say that ? If it does hold up over time, why wouldn't there be some kind of study or example to show that ?
Sure they use the stuff in racing, but they would use it in racing just to get a quicker start off the line, really has no bearing on it's effectiveness in truck applications or it's ability to hold up over tens of thousands of miles, although it is a good sales pitch. -
