I've been doing good here on the L/O Reefer side of Prime for 2 years now. 6yr Sub nuke MM here, I used 2 months of my GI bill and got my CDL.
I went on the lease side cause I spent 1 week in a lightweight pete and couldn't stand it. Literally I could not stand up in it, I'm only 5'4".I also have no problem running a small 1 man business. It allows me to take as much time off as I can afford and run any part of the country I want to. Fringe benefit of being responsible for the truck payment and fuel.
For the NEW PRIME question, the company is Prime Inc DBA New Prime Inc because back in the late 80's, early 90's, Prime was considered the fastest trucks out there. Ask any of the older drivers out there. They got in a bit of trouble with the feds and was forced to restructure everything. -

Easy Steamer I have been in contact with Tabitha S.Don B. two recruters from Prime and they told me about 30 days before I get out of the Army to contact them. I look forward to working with you guys at Prime.

They have a set pay schedule - .25 - .28 - then .30 after a year.
You "can" get to .34 after a year and a half if you've stayed safe and on time; if your lucky a dedicated account too.
They're either lying or you misunderstood what they said. -

I work for roehl and haven't had any issues. I started in van and I'm in the flatbed division hauling my second oversize.
Roehls school is $2800, but you only need $580 up front plus food. After 120,000 paid miles your out of contract and don't owe a cent for the school.
You'll start at a decent wage. You now start at 32cpm in van. The new cap is 46cpm vs 42cpm for the old pay system.
