I think he was referring to a reimbursement for the TSA fingerprinting and background check fee, which some companies do reimburse. My last company did, anyway.

Swift reimbursed me for all costs to get my Hazmat. It's an incentive to get more drivers that can service some of their customers. At the same time I took the Hazmat test I took all the endorsements.

Most of us have been there and done that, even more. Before I got into driving it was not uncommon for me to work 80-100 hours per week especially in my younger days. You are not going to get validation from this crowd. -

Btw, my boss said I will not get a reimbursement, which is completely fine. He said endorsements were a requirement and they are my responsibility to maintain.
