So I've dropped prime out of the picture, and was looking at J&R Schugel. Now, If they start me with a .27 cents per mile for the first 6 months a .9 cents Per diem does this mean I'm actually making .18 cent per mile? I'm kind of confused on the exact amount of pay that I will be getting. Can someone please explain to me what this actually means. I have been reading around and using the search bar but can't get the exact answer I'm looking for.:biggrin_2551:

it probably means you will get .9 per mile tax free. (you get the whole thing). the .18 has taxes taken out like any normal job.

I think Schugel, is based out of New Ulm Minnesota. Richter is right, They will pay you, .27 per mile... but .09 will be non-taxable. The question is, how do they calculate the miles and how bad are you gonna get screwed on the actual mile you drive.

Don't do the per diem. Opt out of it.

The pay is low, correct... but I think it's newbie pay. Secondly, 82.8% seems to be a lot, of 6-10 MPH speeding... This is a common, tactic use to get an inspection in IL, IN, and OH. Trooper just checks that box on the inspection sheet, if you were speeding or not... (It happened to me in IL) Problem IS, that is shows up on CSA as speeding... Which is total BS... So, I'd take that 82.8% with a grain of salt.

I've had several randoms in OH and never charged with speeding . They don't need a traffic violation to pull you in . I have had randoms in several other states with no traffic violations .
I believe drivers getting under $.30 a mile speed quite a bit .

Was it a trooper of full blown DOT... The troopers are typically the ones that check that box for whatever reason. All I can say is that it happened to me in IL... at the start of the whole CSA thing. Wasn't very happy with it either...

Perhaps they changed their paperwork to clear this problem up... It happened a while ago.
