i've had class a's since 2000. i worked construction so it was dump trucks, straight trucks, etc no t.t. driving time.did the straight truck expediting otr biz a couple of years . i liked it,but the fleet owner got out and i didn't want to buy a truck. so i've been on a shipping dock almost 3yrs now i get to drive the yard dog a good bit so it scratches my itch to drive. the company i work for is'nt looking to good might be going back otr soon. been looking at flatbeds since that's the style of trailers i've ever pulled on the road
edit ( i didn't go to a driving school i did it old school i jumped in a truck and started driving and took my test)
    any advice would be helpful

Sounds like most companies will require you to take a "refresher course" so you can be insured.

    Good luck.

unless you can find a really small company willing to give you a chance your going to have to go to a school...
