    Take the bus!

Sure you can park your car on company property.... But they will not accept responsibility for it. I took my Camaro to Ft Dodge, Iowa when I signed on with SMX. A few months later I was back in there for maintnance. So i decided to take my car up town to get something to eat...

I walked to the driver's parking area. Both door windows were busted out... The driver's door had ripped sheet metal from what appeare to be someone trying to pry the door open. The stereo & all the speakers were gone, including the factory speakers. And there was about 12 inches of snow in the car.

The company would not pay. Police wouldn't even come & write a report.

Your car will not be safe!

    trukngrl Thanks this.

you might be ready for otr but what about the wife and or kids will they be able to handle it and even if they can what about the memories you will never have of the kids during the 2 years you will be on the road. also you will not see home for at least 6 weeks at a time don't let the recruiters lie to you. Also listen to Redd your car is about as safe at the terminal as it is being left in a mall parking lot. It will be broke into it will be stripped out and there will be nothing left.

I'm his wife, and i fully support him in this... our daughter is 10 months old and really this is probably the perfect time for him to start... she's too young to know what she is missing... My husband absolutely loves to drive and has been wanting to do this for years, yes of course we will miss him, but we will be waiting for him when he gets home!
