"Sounds like more pay" and "cost of my own tools" just don't jive.
Tell them you want a firm salary offer and ask why do I need to buy tools to work for you and they insist ask them if you can bring them with you when you leave.. -
yes it is more per Hr. and i think most mechanics have to buy tools and yes there your tools. so if i was to leve i would take them
-
Would you rather turn a steering wheel or turn a wrench ?
-
ya thats it i dont know.
-
think of it this way: turn a steering wheel, gone from home a long time. turn a wrench, home every night.
-
I'm home every night now i just work 12 to 14hrs a day.. so i would lose a lot of my over time seeing thay only work 45 to 50 hrs a week
-
I really can't tell you what to do, because I'm not you. With that being said, if it were me, there is a very real danger I would break my neck running to that offer!
The reason is, think about all the BS, rules and regs drivers have to put up with and deal with. There is always some government agency looking for a way to get their hand in your billfold and to disqualify you from working as a driver.
Besides anything else, It seems to me, two career choices are better than one.PurpleKW Thanks this. -
ya i'm going to talk with them and geting all the info. have ben talking it over with the wife..

I think it depends on how mechanically inclined you think you are. If you think you'll feel comfortable with the actual job it's worth looking into.
As for buying tools that unfortunately seems common these days. Possibly to many people are stealing company tools forcing this change.
For example I looked at the job traveling and installing DirectTV but it says the worker must have a Truck/Van and provide tools.
