Does your company offer only regional CA/AZ/NV runs? If so what is the pay, the type of equipment you run, etc?

They mostly haul boxed furniture on the West Coast/Western region, you will end up with a lot of drops and tailgating most of the load.

Sorry for the delay - I've been traveling for a few days.

Didn't want my original e-mail to seem like an attempt to recruit but felt like I should answer your question. Feel free to private message me if you have any specific questions.

We are an 11 western state regional carrier and try to offer driver's the chance to stay in the region they select, however that system isn't perfect and sometimes the loads don't cooperate. We also have local driving positions also in CA, AZ, OR, WA, UT, and CO. We are a dry van general commodity carrier. As for the pay, it varies based on experience. It's competitive with the other Dry Van carriers - I'm sure there are some companies worse & some companies better.

OFTOTR - we used to be heavily involved with the furniture world but not as much these days. These days we are more General Commodity than anything else. We still have some of that but it is the minority of loads.

I'm glad I saw this thread, I'm starting driving school soon and KKW was one of the first places I was going to apply.

Bite your tongue Dinomite!!! I know for a fact that people from KKW read these forums. And I'm sure representatives from other companies read them as well. I'm sure they don't read every single thread but it's so easy for anyone to type "KKW" or "SWIFT" or "Watkins Shepard" into the search box and hit the "enter key". Just my two cents.

Please listen, Your husband must get a recorder and mike and a camera. The Camera is for any Qualcomm messages so he can take pictures (must be focused so the print can be seen) and make a record. The recorder and mike are for when he talks to the office. Phone should be on speaker and he should call when the truck is not running, quiet you know. You have to start building a case like a lawyer and the case needs proof. Once he is set to do this he can call or comm any communication and slowly bring these discrepancies to light with the proof. Don't do all your complaints at once or they will fire him or figure something is up and again, fire him. These items you purchase will help him with every company he works for later that try to screw him. Good Luck and don't pay attention to those here who are industry apologists always saying the trucker is at fault. I recommend this method to all who are getting screwed if you can just afford the kit. P.S. it won't work if you go to the office or let them know you are doing this. It must be done silently.
