I'm sitting in troy,il. Got a bad tire on the tandems. I noticed that when I was setting up to back in the door. Once I got backed in. The guys that was going to load me said I'm going to need more then two load locks. Ok great. I run down to the flyin j and get 4 more. $96 for some load locks is insane. Get back to the customer and get loaded. Took only 20 mins. Called road breakdown about the tire. Told to come to this Ta. Shop says it might be 6 hours before they get to me. Great so hear I wait.

Well i'm finally out of the shop. They ended up having to replace two tires on the trailer. Would have been out of there, but had to wait on kllm to approve it first. They sure do know how to drag their feet. Once done only had enough time to make it to my fuel stop 80 miles away. Fueled at the TA and came across to the flying j. There's no parking spots left at the TA but plenty at the J. But everybody just keeps circling around the TA. I wasn't going to do that lol. I just looked at the trucker path app and zoomed here. Will deliver around 0945 tomorrow. Get a reload out of there and head to Laredo. Keep them wheels turning.

Made it here to the basf in Greenville. Looks like I'm going to be here a while. I'm picking up here once I'm unloaded. So not going to really be in a rush. What is it with drivers wanting to drive 70+ in the snow. And some spots I seen ice on the road. Stop just thinking about yourself.

Was going to roll out to Effingham about 0430-0445 but the weather and roads are not in my favor. I'm on I70 going west and checking the maps its pretty much red all the way there. So just going to wait until daylight. And hopefully the roads and weather will have improved by then. Going to let dispatch know. Rather be safe then sorry. Can't wait to be home for Christmas. Southeast TX don't get any snow yay lol.

Made it down to Stafford, Mo for the night. Didn't get out of Clayton, IN on i70 till after 0800. I70 west was closed due to the weather and wrecks. I seen at least 6 semis either jacked knife or rolled over today. Drivers please slow down. Don't look like I will be leaving out of here once my 10hr is up. The parking lot is a skating ring right now. And by morning temp suppose to be 7 degrees. I got me some cat liter just in case I cant pull out of my spot. I hate how the older drivers just sit and watch somebody struggle to back up. Its one thing to offer to help and that driver turn him down. Then you can talk all the crap you want. But I don't want to hear you talk carp if you didn't at least try to help or give advice. It seems a lot of old timers just like to complain about this or that but won't be part of the solution.

Made down to Laredo this morning. the place I delivered to was a mad house. The only way I could back into the dock was to blindside. I'm so grateful that another kllm driver was there. He spotted for me. While I was getting unloaded notice that my front outside drive tire was going flat. Got road breakdown. They tell me to go to southern tire mart. Which kllm owns. Ok cool. Once unloaded I go straight there. was only five miles away. Get in and out. They only patched the tire. Wonder how long that will last. I'm sitting at the TA off 35 exit 13 now. Getting a load out the same place tomorrow morning. That load going to Dallas. Then I'm assuming I will get the okay to drop my trailer at the yard and head home.

Picked up my load this morning. Only 2 totes of dye weighing 4k in the box. Once I make it into Austin my dispatcher called asking if I can deliver today instead of in the morning. Yeah I can definitely get it there. Did just that. The dock I had to back into was a pain to get into. Took only 5mins to unload but about 15mins to get into the dock. Now I'm sitting at the Lancaster yard hoping I can head home in the morning. Fingers crossed.

Lancaster Yard should have about 60 trailers humming away in the topside waiting to go out being babied by a employee whose only work is to check and record temps and fuel levels along with seal integrety. One of them will be yours most likely. If you are lucky you will get to pick.

Ive been quietly following your posts as a old FFE man and I wonder about those tire issues, three bad tires? Hm. I had two, one steer with a factory belt defect that was changed at the lancaster shop and a trailer one that contested a curb and lost another time. I made ten people in two lanes back up for that turn... Not doing that again...

They got me a load going to Houston. Then home from there. The tires I have on this truck are continental. I hate them with a passion. The one on the trailer was a recap. Hate those too. This truck use to have Bridgestone but they took them off. I also hate this tag axle. Almost was stuck because of it. But I will say I do love this job.

I'm sitting at the loves off 225 in Pasadena. BASF is right down the road from me. On my way down. Made some kid happy. He was giving me the blow your horn signal. Made sure I didnt see any cops around. And blew it twice for him. The look on his face gave me a good feeling lol. His mom was laughing as well. Other then that was pretty much a smooth day except for the traffic coming into Houston. I'm ready to be home.
