Wanted to post this here so all could adjust credit standards accordingly.
We just got paid via comcheck for a very old invoice with KLLM. Accounts payable person informed us they are told to lie and delay payment as long as possible. This is typically the first step of a company in financial trouble trying to dig out. But it has been an issue for months now so doesn't seem to be getting better.
But they are paying factoring companies on-time so that side of the credit is not showing slow pay.

I don't think someone who is getting paid by comcheck for an invoice is a company driver. I think Bill is an O/O. -
Why would I be looking for another job? I have the best boss in the world.Mommas_money_maker, rollin coal, dairyman and 5 others Thank this. -
Perhaps you haven't read many of BBB's posts. Had you, you would have realized he is doing something along the lines of running his own shop, with other O/O leased to his company. You may also have picked up that he recently relocated from IL to TN due to tax reasons. I don't know him from a hole in the wall, but this is what it appears to me is happening.
Do you give your company invoices for your work other than the trip reports or what you type into your qualcomm? They do pay you on a predictable schedule, don't they? -
Hey me too! Now that I know the ground may be shaky over at KLLM, I will avoid allowing them to temporarily "be my boss" for whatever available freight they have. Plenty of fish in the sea.

I always tell people my boss is a slave driving arsehole. They always laugh when they ask who I work for.

I was talking about my wife. I could never work for myself. With all the insults and sexual harassment I would find myself in hot water.
Elroythekid, Mommas_money_maker and losttrucker Thank this.
