Knight drivers....What's your 20?

they had a preplan for me from Henderson,co - Fonatana,Ca but some1 took it off me at the last minute...

 

10-4 on the norcal driver. I got the load, wish I hadn't.

 

It was always a challenge to get out of the DFW area when I drove. A couple times they sent me on local 'wild goose chases' that didnt have a load for me to pu when I got there (never did get paid for my efforts either)....I use to live in that area for many years and know it well, but as much commerce that goes on there it shudnt be such a problem getting out...I always assumed it was the TX weenie drivers that got all the loads (Katy and later I heard that they had a pseudo-terminal (dispatch only) in Ft. Worth (?)) Plus that area is truck stop poor, with the main ones on I20 charging $$ to park there). And Hutchins was but a rutted, dirt drop yard back then....park yes, but food no. Nice to see they have a term there now.

 

Back when Marc Rodgers(now CEO of Interstate) was our DM in tulare he used to dead head us all the way up to Tulsa to get paper loads headed out west whenever the DFW planner was being a dick.

 

The only time I DH'd out of there was to a Dollar DC in Odessa, TX.

Used to pu Miller beer loads in Ft. Worth (where drivers had to build our own bulkheads) going to Phx when picking up new 379 Petes in Denton (flew out and did 3 times), but they dried up as the Phx beer dists started getting them from Miller in Irvine, CA.
