Never listen to half of what some people say, the only ones there that really knows what's going on is Ron, Don, Casey, Luis, and Keith. Everyone else is confused about half the policies and procedures anyways.
Of course, don't listen to anyone in Fontana, they're idiots. And Fontana drivers are the first to tell on anyone about anything. I don't get it, we're all drivers, I don't say anything unless someone does something really stupid. Like the one time I go to pick up a trailer that's in a drop lot, and 3 tires are bald and 2 are flat. I was not happy. Because I called it in and wasted my time getting it fixed. And that other driver no longer works for Knight and he was from Fontana. How I know is from his tractor number. I ignore what others do unless it's something really smart, like the time someone at a certain company knocked over an electric pole and fire hydrant and drove off as if nobody saw it. I did. I also saw the electrical fire that started. And that was a conway driver, the other day. This is California you idiot. It's dry out here and you're going to start a fire like one in Colorado. Idiot. I took pictures and turned it into the police.
Avoid Portland, it's a dump with really big mean jerks and snitches. Tacoma's a dump with jerks. Reno's a dump but the people are great. Las Vegas is a dump. Boise is a dump. Salt Lake City is nice. Denver's nice. Phoenix, never been there, never want to go there. -

Never had to really worry about DAC, as I had only 2 trucking jobs in 10 years, and applied to Knight (my 2nd job) before giving notice to 1st job (altho everything was clean).
I did meet several former Knight drivers (they approached me) that complained about Knight 'knifing' them when they left; i.e. thought that they quit, but showed up to next co's as 'fired!' But I didnt know the details and drivers 'tell tales,' as they say.
I do know from many Swift drivers, that when they left, Swift (with its gigantic size and 90 lawyers on staff) would purposely 'knife' their drivers, knowing that if they couldnt find a job, Swift would take them back---as always being hard up for drivers (I worked for DSW, a Swift o/o with 130 trucks).Last edited: Jul 2, 2012

Sadly, many companies are like that....

Just had my DAC pulled for my free yearly report. Knight is not on there at ALL. All my other employers have pages and pages of information. I've worked for knight twice. Nothing there on their behalf. I respect that Bigtime!
