So my job hunt continues as the wages and the work continue on the downslope here on the milk hauling side of things. OTR/regional guys getting maybe three loads a week, us local loaders and shuttler's only getting about 2-3 loads a night if we're lucky. Right now, I'm deciding upon working six nights a week just to keep my bills paid and shore up the reserves. I could possibly go regional with where I'm at right now, but also run the risk of getting tapped for some noob-level, 48-state baloney.
Anyways, I put in an inquiry app with this company after someone forwarded me an add on FB. Crude and water hauling positions available in Grand Junction CO and in my current state down in Loving NM. On-site housing(trailers) are said to be available and a 5on/1off work-week with a whole week off every month.
As far as the pay goes, the recruiter said it was "30-34% of the load".
I've been hauling milk tankers for the past, five years, so the tanker aspect isn't all that new to me. But, I've never hauled oil, let alone much HAZMAT, despite having had my HAZMAT since getting my CDL.
Any current or past driver's for this outfit to offer their two cents as far as pay and work conditions go?
Not really finding many reviews on any of the other Google'd sites.

Knowles had an operation here in Midland /Odessa area at one time. Talking to their drivers out the field didn’t get a very good impression.

Company wasn’t very safey minded, most of their equipment was in poor shape due to little to no maintenance being done. I’m not taking about no a/c stuff either, things like the steering column would be loose and would road walk from side to side as it pleased on the highway and management was like “eh, it’s the oil fields”

My advice, run. If your able to relocate for a better job there are much better opportunities to work in this industry.

    bentstrider83 Thanks this.

Depends on how much farther and where it is I would have to relocate to. If it's just a state or so away, then fine. If it's in a completely different region where the culture and weather are completely not to my liking, then misery would definitely cut any gains made in the paycheck department.
