I have the 18qt Koolatron. I keep lunch-meat ,milk, sodas, condiments, etc in mine and it works fine. The thing to remember is it's a cooler not a refrigerator.

It says it chills to 40 degrees below the outside temp. You can't make it do much more than that. I've had mine for over a year now and it still runs fine.

For that unit, this is not that great of a price, about the same as a T/A.

I bought one of those from a different source. It only lasted about 3 months. Now it only cools down into the high 40's in a 70 degree truck.

I replaced it with a coleman. That thing holds low 30's in the same environment. A couple of those frozen blue plastic ice packs in the bottom will stay partially frozen for 12-14 days. It was less than $100 at Walmart with the 2 year replacement warranty. I am set for a while.

That model of Koolatron is a pain to use in the truck. The lid is heavy, not hinged to the body, except with floating, unattached hinges. Skip this one, at any price.

They drop the intake temp by 35-40*. I blow a 60* A/C vent into the intake and freeze water bottles in August.
