    Hi everyone!

I'm looking for some thoughts and comments on both the 660 and the 900.

A little background...I'm a first time truck buyer, not a driver...I'm the fleet owner. I know a lot, but have much more to learn!

They will be used OTR in the entire 48, Alaska, and Canada. The cargo is very, very hot and very sensitive. There will be lots of driving in metro areas and downtown areas. Lots of backing in very tight spaces. I'm obsessed with driver comfort, safety, and rentention. Image is a super important factor too. I will be going with lots of the bells and whistles and maybe a custom sleeper but it would not exceed 100" at most. My PM programs will exceed most others. Reliablity is number one, I can't afford to have a truck sitting on the side of the road due to breakdown or failure.

So far I have also been looking at the FL Coronado and the Pete 387. I just recently decided to start looking at the Kenworth's. Any thoughts and comments would be greatly appreciated! Thanks everyone!

If you are going into big city's and really tight areas why the w900?What about fuel mpg?Is that not more important than looking cool? The big sleeper is cool but once agian you said the trucks would be going into tight areas so I must ask why do you need a big sleeper? Also to have a big sleeper like that you will have a long wheelbase esp. with the w900 so that will rule out Canada and Alaska.(244" wb limit in most of canada and you can't get to alaska without going thru BC which has the 244 wb law.)

You need to look else where than the super image thing and think about the function and the type of hauling that will be done.
I would go with a t800,t660,t600 or a 386 pete no longer than 244" in the pete you cn go with the 70" sleeper driver would still be happy with that.In the KW's if I was running those areas this is what I would have a t800 with a 72" or 86" bunk 13spd with 3.55 rears running on 22.5lp's with prolly a isx 525 for power, stacks behind the sleeper and air cleaner under the hood with dual 150 tanks.
But this is me and for what you describe as the type of areas you will be going to I think this is what would work best.

    Just my .02

i agree with the above poster......almost

T660 with 86" (will be a 244" WB), seattle interior, i hear good things about the new cummins, 13 and 3.36 rears

    or the pete 386 with a 70"

both have good looks when dressed up, get good mileage and are canada legal.....plus they arent too long for tight docks and will almost "blend" in with the crowd of trucks

Not a popular suggestion, but I'd take a look at Volvo's. While I love the room and appearance of the 86" studio from Kenworth, the 780's sleeper is nothing to sneeze at.

To each there one but they sure are easy to move around in tight spots and ride just as good as a t600.When I got a t800 quite a few yrs ago I thought great this should ride like a buck board but I was surprised it rode very smooth. The only reason I would keep the stacks and cans off the side is for mpg.
